Building Protection

Summer is in full swing and we’ve been having a LOT of rain! Did you know one of the best things you can do to protect your building and add years to it’s life is to install gutters and downspouts? This is a minimal cost and easily done by a do-it-yourself person. Without a downspout system all the rain from the roof runoff pours down the side of the building and onto the ground and then splashes onto the lower edge of the building. This is why you sometimes see discoloration along the bottom edge of buildings and years down the road it becomes the beginning of deterioration and rot . This is true for any building, not just a Yoder building, the best thing you can do for any building you own is KEEP WATER AWAY FROM IT! Make the effort soon to install a gutter and downspout system on your building. It’s well worth the time and money you spend on it! While you’re at it check the downspout system on your house also and make sure it’s working properly and not clogged with leaves etc…
